Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare to inspect crop planting and seeding equipment
- Nature and scope of work requirements are identified and confirmed
- OH&S requirements, including individual State/Territory regulatory requirements and personal protection needs are observed throughout the work
- Procedures and information such as workshop manuals and specifications, and tooling, are sourced
- Method options are analysed and those most appropriate to the circumstances are selected and prepared
- Technical and/or calibration requirements for inspecting crop planting and seeding equipment are sourced and support equipment is identified and prepared
- Warnings in relation to working with crop planting and seeding equipment observed
- Conduct inspection and analyse results
- Methods for inspection are implemented in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Inspection results are compared with manufacturer/ component supplier specifications to indicate compliance or non-compliance
- Results are documented with evidence and supporting information and recommendation(s) made
- Report is processed in accordance with workplace procedures
- Service and repair crop planting and seeding equipment
- OH&S requirements, including individual State/Territory regulatory requirements and personal protection needs are observed throughout the work
- Procedures and information are identified and sourced
- Technical and tool requirements for service and repair are identified and support equipment is identified and prepared
- Methods for service and repair are implemented in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer/ component supplier specifications
- Adjustments made during the service and repair are in accordance with manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Prepare equipment for operation
- Variable operating parameters are identified from manufacturer/component supplier specifications and analysis of proposed working environment and conditions
- Equipment variables, including management systems settings, controls and monitoring systems are established and prepared for proposed operations
- Equipment and systems are test run and final adjustments are made to achieve and maintain operating parameters
- Regulatory requirements, including equipment safety and environmental compliance, are applied and satisfied
- Prepare equipment for use or storage
- Service/repairs schedule documentation is completed
- Final inspection is made to ensure protective guards, safety features and cowlings are in place
- Final inspection is made to ensure work is to workplace expectations
- Equipment is cleaned for use or storage to workplace expectations
- Job card is processed in accordance with workplace procedures
